Peer Support

Peer Support is the main pillar of ACHR. Through Peer Support, ACHR aims to help individuals struggling with substance use, mental health challenges, and/or co-occurring challenges. At ACHR our CPSW’s offer a level of support and understanding that is unmatched.  ACHR offers other Peer Services that include but are not limited to: help with obtaining vital documents, peer support groups, navigating Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security, computer help, assistance in finding and getting into recovery programs, navigating Legal Aid, and so much more.

A2A NM

In a war against substance use, you not only need a healthy mind, but a healthy body as well. A2A NM offers a non-tradition, non-medicinal approach to recovery. A2A NM is a recovery program unlike any you have seen before. The goal of A2A NM is to assist individuals struggling with substance use and/or mental health challenges in finding and maintaining recovery through use of physical fitness and self discovery. A2A NM consists of an hour of strenuous activity, from weight training to cross fit, followed by an hour long, peer led, support group. By teaching the principles of prosocial behaviors and community inclusion, A2A NM strives to assist individuals create the best versions of themselves and become strong community members.

Pathways

Pathways Navigators help assist members of our community with case management and access to resources. Pathways is a milestone based program designed to help individuals within specific areas of life such as: behavioral health, continuing education, dental care, vision & hearing, disability income & appeal, drivers license & ID, employment, food security, utilities, home health care, housing assistance, legal services, medical debt, pharmacy/medications, public benefits, substance use, transportation, and victim advocacy. 

Job Development

The ACHR Job Developer provides a personal and structured approach to finding a fulfilling job quickly and successfully. Providing one-on-one service to create a strong resume that showcases your employment history as well as your transitional, self-management and vocational skills. Members will be introduced to the non-traditional job market, and how to access job openings before they are posted. ACHR focuses on overcoming barriers to employment such as mental health disabilities, criminal records and gaps in employment. Unlike many others, ACHR Job Developers have small caseloads in order to dedicate their time to the individual needs of each member, and will continue contact even after becoming employed. 

Senior Peer Case Management

Senior Peer Case Management supports seniors with navigating through social security benefits, housing resources, food security, and offers one-on-one peer support. Senior Peer Case Management will also help address unmet needs pertaining to medical providers and behavioral health challenges.
